3.6/mid 160s right? You've had an awesome cycle so far, congrats!

Seeing everyone get T14's is slightly depressing  . I hope I can snag Cornell when I finally go complete, and I hope I get the motivation to write a LOCI for UVA.

With that said, Congratulations to all of you. Everyone is having a wonderful cycle. :D

Yep (low mid 160s). Thanks! I think coming from a top 5 school with not that many black people and having ibanking/consulting work experience helped. I was honestly concerned because I messed up on the LSAT the first time, but I'm starting to think admissions doesn't really care about retakes.

Don't be depressed! I would honestly be shocked if you didn't get into a T14. Like yeah it seems liek everyone is killing it this cycle, but that only makes me think that there should be even more room available at the lower T14s. I think the end of this cycle will be very interesting for URMs. I'm hoping I can land Columbia this way :) I'm like pshh all these recent Columbia admits are obviously going to HYS

So I know this is a question where any answer will really just be a guess but I've heard back from all the T2 schools I applied to and I've gotten into all of them with about 70%-100% tuition at all of them (I wasn't expecting money anywhere so I was pretty surprised). Meanwhile all the T30 schools I applied to seem to hate me, they've either looked at my application once or not at all. Part of it I know is the rolling admissions thing but now I'm not really convinced that all schools do rolling (I've seen people on TLS who submitted and went complete before me but went UR after me). Do I have a shot a T30 schools or are the T2 schools just throwing money at a URM at or above their medians? I know what I've seen at the T2 schools won't translate into money at the T30 schools but I'd be willing to pay sticker at all of them just because the employment numbers are better and they have more of what I want (and in most cases they're in better locations).

If you are getting money thrown at you, then you most likely have a shot.

I should probably just learn to be patient, LSP shows a wall of red for me for the schools I haven't heard back from so despite what other schools have offered I'm not overly optimistic. I think it was around this time of year when I was in high school where I freaked out and applied to more schools.

Truer words have never been spoken. No one can predict how URM cycles are going to go.

I thought I would take a minute to update since know these threads were helpful for me.
3.94/167 NA

UCLA w/60k
USC w/120k (rothman app pending)
Georgetown
Washington

Priority reserve at Duke
Held at Harvard
Waitlist at Penn

All apps were submitted on ~november 20th. No great softs but fairly standard. I can't say I'mnot a little disappointed, but I've still got a lot of apps out.

I'm Mexican American with a 3.7 and a 170, have been accepted at Georgetown, Duke, UT, NYU, still waiting to hear back from the others. Anyone think I have a shot at Harvard?

Congrats on the acceptances so far!
And yes, there's a fairly good shot numbers twin. When did you send in apps? I'll be monitoring your cycle for obvious reasons.

Still getting the hang of this forum (please be patient)... and yes I noticed we had the same numbers!

I applied to UVA, Duke, UT, Georgetown, NYU and Penn back in late November... I wrote a Why UVA and am kind of surprised i haven't heard back from them yet. I applied to Harvard (wrote a why), Columbia, Chicago and Yale in early January. Will keep you updated on any news!

Hi guys. I just wanted to add myself to the Yale reject list from last Friday. As many others have expressed, the ding was totally expected. Good luck to everyone!

OMG, I got an NCE from Columbia. It is dated 2/8. Totally thought I was going to get dinged. Also, in at UT Austin! Black Female, 161/3.75

Stay positive guys! As others in the thread have stated earlier, you never know how your cycle might turn out this year.

Thanks davee! Letter was dated Feb. 8th. Don't give up on Columbia yet! Your lsat is higher than mine, I feel safe saying that you should be getting one too!

Thanks mommalee!

Congrats to everyone on the T-14 admits. I don't have any but I am happy to state that I was accepted to William and Mary. Thankful for every opportunity.

Experienced my first ding of the cycle today with Northwestern. I guess that's what I get for not doing the on- or off-campus interview (and for, you know, being below both of their medians)!
