just had my JS1 today, think it went pretty well...but you just never know with these things.

but i did finish up to receive a voice mail from nyu that i have been admitted best of luck to everyone, cant wait to meet lots of you guys in the fall!

So Worm, did you withdraw your app from Duke after receiving your 170? If I was in your shoes, that is probably what I would have done for insulting me unless I really cared for Duke in the first place.

Worm, you are the perfect person to find out if this whole average all LSAT scores/take all into consideration stuff is a bunch a bullshit that some of the T-6 schools still claim to do. When you get them, can you please post all of your outcomes at all of the T-6?

Have you heard of anyone being able to appeal a rejection after a higher score? I haven't gotten one yet, but it would be nice to be prepared.

That, not so much, but the minute you feel ready to take the test, email the schools informing them that you're retaking. Or if you're afraid that something might go wrong (sick, bad day and you cancel), email them after the test.

Although, I wonder what would happen if you got a JS1 before the retake, that would be interesting.

Um, speaking of this last part... I was going to register for the February LSAT tonight... But now that I got a JS1... If I register, will I screw up my chances?

HLS only interviews strong candidates. So, if you have a JS1, then you have already been identified as an "admittable" candidate. Retaking is your choice. But, I imagine that having a new score two months after your HLS interview will have no significant impact on your decision. Some interviewees have been admitted the next day. So, I would be comfortable saying that after the interview, a decision would be made shortly.

However, if you want to bolster your credentials for another law school OR you just want to retake, then you should still retake. But, if HLS is your number one, you are 70-99.99% already in with a JS1. I made that statistic up, but I have yet to hear of ANYONE who had a JS1 and was rejected. GOOD LUCK and CONGRATS on your JS1!!!
