I was there too! That statement was insane and everyone's faces pretty much said it all.

I declined Chicago yesterday but I had a great time at ASW. If anyone wants more details feel free to PM me.

What was the comment? I didn't go to ASW, but now I really want to hear it since it turned so many of you off. If someone could PM me the full story, that would be great.

The dean just said something along the lines of "We love hosting so many people at ASW. But I hope you don't all accept because we'll be in trouble." Followed by awkward silence.

W/L at Penn on Monday, which was sort of sad for an alum. Either way, this is the end of the road for me. Deposited (via snail mail :( ) to HLS today. It's nice to see so many folks here depositing at Harvard. Could this mean H is winning the H vs. S battle among URM?

That was pretty much the vibe from the moment I got there. They acted like they were playing with the house's money.
I really liked the students but I felt like there was a slight defensiveness around ASW as if they were trying to prove they didn't care if many of us chose HLS or SLS or YLS over them.

I'm depositing at SLS, as my re-evaluated financial aid came through. I was riding HLS's waitlist (and I had a post-WL JS1), but I think I'm gonna withdraw. I've lived in Cambridge and spent time at Harvard before and I can't really see myself turning down SLS for HLS.0

Congrats to all! Good luck to all still waiting!

Officially committed to USC. Money & location made them the top choice for me. Congrats to all the URMs this cycle!

Thought we'd be hanging out in Cambridge, bro. It was nice meeting you (and others) at HLS ASW. Congrats, and good luck with your future endeavors.

Deposited at UChicago! I'm still submitting a reevaluation for additional scholarship money, but I love it and for other reasons, needed to submit ASAP. Still riding three waitlists, but am super excited that this is all coming to an end. Congrats everyone!

You don't think depositing would hurt your chances for additional merit aid?

+1. But hey, maybe if you give them a compelling reason for the increase, you may be able to squeeze a few more bucks out of 'em. For all they know, you've made deposits at other schools that are still in the running.

Well, I have some personal reasons for depositing already and yea, I am aware that I may have hurt my bargaining power. But, I am hoping not... who knows!

Also, I believe they get the deposit list in june, but I could be wrong...

I think they get a preliminary list in May or so stating how many persons have double deposited, and then in June (or was it late May?) they get the names of the culprits.
