Just sent off all of my applications! Well, all but 2, I'm still waiting for my Mom to text me back about when she graduated from UG but otherwise it's done. I applied to a range with Stanford at the top and Pitt at the bottom and a mix of everything in between. Now I'm gonna try and relax and see what happens!

Re: URM 2012-2013 Cycle... let's go!
Hey guys, sorry to de-rail the thread real fast but I'm curious as to what qualifies one to be URM. I'm asking because over christmas break I was talking to my cousin who happens to be half AA/Caucasian, he's a freshmen in UG, and I told him I was pretty sure he'd qualify as a URM but wanted to be positive. I'll likely call him up over the weekend. I'm basically asking if someone 50% AA will have the same consideration someone 100% AA would. He's a bright kid and I really hope he's considered a URM. BTW, Congrats on your cycles guys! Killing it! Thanks in advance for any response!

Re: URM 2012-2013 Cycle... let's go!
If no one minds, to build off of this question... Is a February retake too late to be considered for scholly $? I haven't had a problem getting into schools so far, but money is starting to look like it may be an issue...twentypercentmore wrote:Feb is kind of the worst of all worlds. Not only does it leave you with far too little time to adequately prepare for it, it's too late in the cycle, and everything's non-disclosed, so you don't know what sections gave you trouble. Plus, a lot of schools don't even take Feb scores.TheLogicalTheist wrote:Thanks for the advice. Is a retake in February to late in your opinion?
Sit out this (2012-2013) cycle, retake in June, and maybe retake again in October. Law school isn't going anywhere.

Feb is fine for being able to bargain up for scholarship money -- and in fact is probably a good idea.

I dont think its too late. Applicants will be negotiating scholarships into the summer.clouded.memory wrote:If no one minds, to build off of this question... Wow, so awesome to see so many URMs accepted at such great schools!!!
MA 161/3.71 checking in. I've been accepted ED at BU with a full-ride scholarship!
Good luck to those who haven't heard yet!

At least you know you got into a T14. Also, after seeing your profile, I wish I did Cornell EA. We had similar old LSAT scores. I'm legit close to throwing an ED app to Penn
