Thank you. Nah, just the regular JD program. I was expecting a ding because my LSAT is on the low side, but still a nice surprise.BlaqBella wrote:AJD? Regular? Congrats!bosmer88 wrote:I have another to add. Also in at Northwestern: Black Female (161/3.7).

Thanks. I had 2 years of WE post-college, but very little during college. I did an off-campus interview in Dec.Dmini7 wrote:congratulations! Did you have alot of W/E or did you interview? Re: URM 2012-2013 Cycle... let's go!
Wanted to go ahead and throw my numbers in the hat and add how this madness is going with me:
UVA: waitlisted
Michigan: in with a Darrow
Harvard: JS1 1/9
168/3.73
Worked all through school so I have plenty of work experience and as non traditional as it gets; in fact, nothing about my application is normal so any comparison based on numbers probably won't mean much. I have a number of publications and some pretty strong softs.
Part of me wants to argue that we over value numbers here. Maybe we don't, particularly since you come to a place like this when you're applying and not necessarily when you're doing that living that makes you a compelling applicant, but at some point who you are (softs, etc.) push your numbers and your application further - I imagine.

Would it be a fair assessment to say we haven't seen many URMs above 170 this cycle (as compared to the usual)? I'm just trying to get a sense of how the changes we are seeing with the LSAT have played out amongst URMs.

I guess OP is never going to come back to TLS to create my requested poll of GPA/LSAT ranges. What a douche bag-- he creates one of the most important threads on TLS and doesn't even come back to check it. Next year, we can't let that happen. The poll would allow everyone to essentially post their information anoymously.

13 170+ URMs, 21 168+ URMs on LSN - http://search.lawschoolnumbers.com/user ... A couple on this list aren't actual URM so they're not factored into the count.
Yep... definitely in low supply.

Yeah! It's been a surreal cycle! Also in at Boalt, NYU, Michigan, G-Town, and UCLA. If this cycle has taught me anything it's that admissions committees are pretty holistic towards URM's. While my 3.99 GPA (UCLA) is a big factor, I think my acceptances have been based on my softs and PS.John_rizzy_rawls wrote:And Stanford with a 164. Very nice.davee817 wrote:Any JS1's today?

Stttanford? Nice. . You should send them an e-mail and say, "Thank you for admitting me Stttanford." :/davee817 wrote:Yeah! It's been a surreal cycle! A 3.99 and a 164 LSAT URM is pretty fucking solid. I'm sure your PS and softs were very good but your GPA LSAT + URM are going to outweigh a PS and softs. To think otherwise would be kinda odd but whatever floats your boat. Congrats on Stanford and Berkeley BTW! I'm sure your PS and softs sealed the deal at those two. Where you leaning towards going? Depend on $$$?davee817 wrote:Yeah! It's been a surreal cycle! Also in at Boalt, NYU, Michigan, G-Town, and UCLA. It was actually a she that abandoned TLS on the basis of not scoring as planned on the June 2012 LSAT. She presumably had quit the law school plan altogether.
Douchebag-worthy? I don't think so. Let's not jump to conclusions here. As for next cycle's thread, you should do the honors.

As cheesy as this sounds, I want to visit all the schools and get a feel for them before I make a decision. I want to make sure I'm comfortable and feel at home wherever I go. At this point I'm considering all schools equally. Money will be a factor, but it won't be that important. I gave up going off to an Ivy for undergrad because of money, I won't let money limit me again.BerkeleyBear wrote:A 3.99 and a 164 LSAT URM is pretty fucking solid.
