Ah. Thanks a lot! One more question: what numbers should I be looking at if I have a LDSAC GPA of 3.75 and want to go to to T10 schools (top schools are: Stanford, Harvard, Berkeley, Michigan, UChicago, and NYU)? I'm Mexican, so I assume that I am an URM.

Sorry while I was typing I was thinking that I should mention that I don't take the LSAT until October. Last preptest I took I got a 165, so I hope to score 170 or above. But I meant to ask what LSAT number I should be looking at.kcam1991 wrote:Do you haven LSAT score?Oscar85 wrote:Ah. Thanks a lot! 1) Don't "assume" anything -- several URM posters got screwed in June after PTing in the 170's, and ended up 5-10 points below that. We're be willing to have a more structured chat with you after October. Sorry, but that's the way of it.
2) Don't rule out Northwestern and Duke -- historically, they've been pretty good with scholarship money for URMs.

Has anyone itt taken a powerscore lsat course? My original plan was to self study and take the june lsat, but, unfortunately, I found out I needed to take a course this summer in order to graduate next spring.
After studying from march-may I stopped once summer started. I'm signing up for the powerscore august-october class for the october lsat. Anyone else taking or has previously taken the powerscore class?

It came down to powerscore or testmasters. I've heard nothing but good things about powerscore (albeit I haven't heard a ton) and testmasters isn't offering a schedule of classes that works for me.Alltheirsplendor wrote:Go Testmasters.sfxx wrote:Has anyone itt taken a powerscore lsat course? With less than a month before school and a month 'til all apps open up I'm buzzing with anticipation and nerves. Two years of TLS browsing have lead up to this. so ready... I think

Never thought I would be applying for law school, but with all the money being thrown around I am going to cash in on my URM status lol.
UG i just wanted big law for the big money and the possibility of working on Wall St.
Now i actually want to practice law and give back to the community lol what a difference 3 years makes!...working on my first application now (W&M).

Hello again to all the law school hopefuls out there.
I am posting again about The Bar None Project - LSAT Prep and Mentoring Program founded and run by GW Law students and faculty advisers. We have received a few messages inquiring about the program, and want to take this time to answer a few FAQ's.
The Bar None Project is, first and foremost, an LSAT Prep Program. Therefore, if you do not plan on taking the LSAT (again), BNP enrollment is not available for you at this time.
LSAT Prep will take place at GW Law School located in the Foggy Bottom area of D.C. throughout the week. Unfortunately, if you are not in the DC Metro area, you will not benefit from the program.
Testing materials will be provided by one of the leading LSAT Prep companies. Unfortunately, I cannot disclose the specifics to you here.
The first session will begin August 25th and run until just before the October test date. There will be future sessions scheduled around the December, June and/or February test dates based upon enrollment. The first class of each session will be a full-length practice test.
Please email BarNoneProject@gmail.com directly with any questions and for more information. Please spread the word if you do not qualify for BNP enrollment.
Best of luck to you all. We have all been in your shoes!

I'm a splitter (2.7/172) looking to stay in the South mostly and in a bigger city (with a few exceptions).

I'm an AA Male. I'd really prefer to practice in Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, or Florida eventually. Outside of the South, DC, Chicago, or the CA Bay Area.BruceWayne wrote:

That's a superb LSAT score. What was your method of study? I feel like you should should an app to CCN.thatdude222 wrote:Looking all over the place, but these are my preferred choices across all reach, target, and safety schools I'm applying to:Bankrupt257 wrote:What schools are everyone looking at?

Thanks for the suggestion, I just might go for it. For study I initially just used the Powerscore Bibles and a lot of practice tests. Later on I took a Powerscore course because I accepted a full-time job and was also working on a masters and felt like because I was so busy I needed a course to keep a structured, consistent study schedule.

I'm also a splitter (3.1/169) and I'm hoping for the West/Northwest but was convinced to toss other schools and geographic regions in the mix.

AA male 3.5/ 167-168..isshhh.
From what I've read on this site I believe my softs would be considered good/above average.
Where should I apply? Would HYS be a waste of application money? Chances at CCN?
Thanks.

Anything over a 165, I would personally blanket the T14 with your GPA from Columbia on down.

Real. A lil disappointed in my score. Will possibly retake if schedule allows it. Not sure yet.

Well since everyone else is naming schools I guess I'll join in:
BU
UC Berkeley
UCLA
Cardozo
Columbia
Duke
Fordham
Georgetown
Loyola (LA)
Miami
NYU
Pepperdine
Pitt
Richmond
USC
Stanford
Temple
Tulane
I'm definitely going to look for fee waivers otherwise I'll probably wind up maxing out my credit card. I know it's a lot but I figure at least one of them will let me in. I also finally got around to asking people to write LORs for me and luckily they all said yes! I've been out of school for a year so my main concern was wondering if they'd remember me but luckily I went to a small school and there weren't many people in my major.

Right now 3.31/154, obviously I'm retaking the LSAT again since I doubt anyone's gonna take me with a 154. I wasn't ready and took the test anyway, I think I was expecting to magically do better. I graduated so my GPA is what it is, I'm considering writing an addendum because it'd be higher except for two completely uselss classes that I just didn't understand (music theory and ear training) and that I had to take for 4 semesters.sfxx wrote:That's a huge range, what are your numbers?Psib337 wrote:Well since everyone else is naming schools I guess I'll join in:
