I would like to know if we are going to have single/double dorms at UCSD or grad student housing? I dont mind living with someone as long as we're separated by a door :o

When did CLEO send you an itinerary?? And is it confirmed that housing is at UCSD?

Does anyone know how selective the AIE (Attitude is Essential) program is? I applied, and got a full ride at Indiana Univ Bloomington, but my LSAT score wasn't so hot (I guess my soft factors got me in).

I think the AIE allows anyone who to go as long as they get accepted to a law school as well as are an underrepresented class member

I'm trying to figure out if I should apply to this one or not since I already applied to the other CLEO. It's free but you have to go to one of the four Indiana schools (IU-B, IU-Maurer, Valpo, and Notre Dame) What do you guys think? Anyone heard of this?
If you're set on staying in Indiana, that might be better if it's free. I have heard of it, but not sure on all the details. Do they offer scholarships like the CLEO SSI? Or just placement assistance to Indiana schools?
I'm not set on any location. I'm from Chicago so I may want to come back here at some point. The program is basically the same thing as the regular CLEO, it offers placement and large stipends up to 20k. But no trips to DC and no bar exam stipends from what I've read. Also it's a smaller program so only about 30 students attend.
For anyone going to IUB, how is the CLEO program better than the Summer Start?

Would anyone be willing to scan the itinerary for CLEO in San Diego and e-mail it to me. My family just moved and I am worried I won't get it for awhile!

Requested 4/18. I am not in a position to confirm the UCSD housing but any further questions can be directed to:

i ditto the sentiments in regards to their lackluster communication. As they had urged us to buy our tickets, I did so before recieving the email. And inadvertently am leaving the day of the graduation versus the Saturday. And at that, I really could have used the discount code. Pretty sure the airline will charge me money to change the flight, so I doubt I will. :|

Did everyone get the TJSL e-mail today? Really answered a lot of my questions. It kind of sucks that we will be staying 15 min away from the law school though.

yea I got it..twice as a matter of fact. Answered a lot of my questions as well. I wonder how early we're going to have to get up to catch the trolley to the campus? Seems like it will be a great experience at TJSL. CANT WAIT!!(Bart Scott Voice)

Am I the only one who's wondering whatever happened to those four self addressed envelopes they asked us for?? Besides the acceptance letter, all other communication has been trough email!

Lol...yeah, no kidding....thought it was a bit arcane to use sase's in this day and age, but whatever...looking forward to it, at the very least it should help open doors in the future as I'm sure a lot of us are a bit concerned by everything we've read about debt, job prospects, law school rankings, etc.....

15 minutes in a car...thats an easy hour on public transportation each way. If you have a car, bring it. parking is apparently included.

From what I remember reading from the past San Diego CLEO-ers, the trolley wasn't a super long ride. Not sure if it was school-only, or what, but the commute wasn't terrible.

Yikes, what a commute. Well, it would be nice if they had a shuttle just for you guys. Otherwise, I guess you can use the time to get some reading in!

That would be redic if the trolley took an hour each way. I would think they would have shuttle for CLEO students considering what a waste of time the trolley ride would be.

i live in san diego and the trolley ride from SDSU to Old town (where TJLS) is located is only about 15 minutes. but then you have to find your way to the law school which is only a short walk away. plus the trolley at SDSU is literally on campus... I suguest you guys buying a monthly pass because riding will cost five dollars per day if you dont buy one.

check sdmts.com for more info, maybe you could buy passes online?

also when leaving the airport i would take the bus thats there to the nearest trolley station then take the Green trolley line to SDSU. pay 5 dollars on the bus and use that same ticket on the trolley and viceversa...make sure to ask for a day pass...(i know public transportation in sd is expensive) ill be going to iowa so if anyone has any advice let me know!!

I saved the Des Moines taxi company number in my phone in case I don't see one driving by when I get off the bus. 515-243-1111.

Then I saw this cab company, and it seems pretty.... eccentric? http://www.cabmobile.com/ There is a comments section at the bottom with miscellaneous quotes about greatness. :? Pretty strange. I think I'll stick with the yellow cab haha

I looked up the airport and the university on google maps and it looks like Drake is only about 5 miles down the road from the airport. So it should be a fairly cheap cab ride for all of the fliers.
