Just submitted 11 apps today, should be sending in about 8 or 9 more in a couple of weeks.

Now time for the waiting.

If I don't hit a 160 with a 3.3 GPA, I should just reapply next year for WUSTL, right? They say they take Feb LSAT scores too, but I may have a better shot just doing ED.

If I get a 160 next year, I should ED and try for Cornell? Maybe?

Not sure which schools ED really and truly makes a difference. Not sure if it's worth waiting a year.

What do you guys think?

Got in my UGA and USC apps a couple of weeks back, didn't ask them to hold the decision because I felt like I could be competitive there with my numbers.

Berkeley and UVA I asked to hold pending Dec. LSAT.

gonna do most of the rest of the T14 after I take the LSAT...Berkeley is probably my first choice at this point

Congrats on the acceptances and good luck on the LSAT! Berkeley does seem amazing. I'm hoping they give me a call sometime...

Truthfully,I don't think TLS knows what it's talking about when they say only mexican and Puerto ricans get the "boost". I think that's an urban legend

Well, I believe it's based in a Michigan court decision, which explicitly stated African-American, Mexican, Puerto Rican, and Native Americans could get the "boost."

Well, I don't think that is how it went. I though NO ONE could get a boost simply due to race/ethnicity, but that diversity is still a good thing. So, I thought the applicant needed to demonstrate some type of adversity, such as socioeconomic disadvantage.
Michigan I believe had a "point" system, so an appicant could get 20 pts., for example, just for being African American. That is no longer allowed is how I understand it.

Anyway, even if what you said is true, I think the rules only applied to michigan, and certainly not to private law schools, and other state schools.

Sweet. I tend to agree. And there are so few out there to gather data on. Do an LSN search on "Hispanic" as race and so few come up.

Congratulations!!! Georgetown! EEK! :P

Honestly, I will never really know if being "other Hispanic" gave me a boost.
Maybe the adcom simply connected with me through my extracurrics and essay.
I will never know for sure. Sometimes these decisions seem so random

Sent apps on 11/28 to:

UC Hastings
UCLA
UC Berkeley
USC
U Michigan
MSU
Notre Dame
U Illinois
Northwestern
U Pennsylvania
WUSL
William & Mary
Washington & Lee
Lewis & Clark
Georgetown
Loyola- Chicago
U Wisconsin

Stats are 3.39/161... Michigan resident, attend top-50 LAC, strong softs, 4 excellent LOR's (2 profs, 1 dean, 1 supervisor), excellent PS & DS (I know it's late but if anyone needs help with their writing samples send 'em my way!)... Although being Pakistani doesn't qualify me as URM, I do have other identiy/health related factors that have significantly impacted my life and the opportunities I've had. I know that most my list is a major, major reach, but I figure one of them could bite?! Complete at about half, under review at a few, anxiously waiting with the rest of yall! <3

Good luck to everyone; it's hitting that time of year where a lot of you will be getting great news!

I'm probably behind in mentioning this, but if you are applying to HYS don't worry so much about getting your app in before Christmas. With those 3 it doesn't seem to matter as much (especially not for SLS); but get your apps in everywhere else ASAP!
