This weekend, I (Finally) put in applications to:

Columbia
Chicago
NYU
Michigan
Cornell
Duke
Emory
UT Austin
USC
UCLA
UVA
UPenn
WUSTL
BU

Now, the wait begins! I applied to Duke priority track, so at least I'll hear back from them in the next couple weeks. Crossing my fingers, toes, eyes, buttcheeks that my cycle goes well! I'm on lawschoolnumbers (whirledpeas86) if you wanna watch!

Honestly, an AA male with a 170 and a respectable GPA is in at Harvard. I wouldn't worry too much :)

My advice is when you get your JR2 call dont try to be funny.. it just makes things awkward and probably makes JR second guess you. Trust me, I know from experience.

Thats the worst part to me with interviews sometimes. Like, I feel like I should be thinking of good things to ask but sometimes I just honestly DONT have questions when I'm being interviewed.

To be honest, I wrote my diversity statement about exactly that. The social complexities of being one of the few black kids in suburbia. Racist mindset and comments from whites and receiving the same from fellow blacks for befriending them and playing soccer. Tied it up as to how this didn't result in the creation of a hateful person rather a someone whose passion it was to create bridges and destroy social barriers. Has worked out pretty nicely so far 8)

It seems so for some schools (Stanford!)
I heard back in almost one month exactly, and I applied late November.

Debating whether to send Stanford an LOCI or not.. all I can really do is write that I am interested in the school though. They are my top choice but I cant promise I will attend if accepted.

How are you feeling about UChi? Particularly after how that person answered your question in the chat LOL.

LOL.. it was definitely a bit disconcerting to get that response from a financial aid officer. You would think she, of all people, would recognize there is a financial element to choosing a school. Still, Chicago is definitely the favorite of CCN. If I get the Rubenstein offer I'm likely headed there. If not, I cant justify the price tag.
