-graduating ug this year; took about 8 yrs off and on
-steady, decent public service work experience
-lots of w's/d'/c's on transcript - some semesters are 4.0, others are 2.5 - def have a grade addendum
-urm: aa

where should i aim? any idea how my transcript will play out?

would love to remain on the east, but no further than the midwest.

LSAT score?

With that combination, you should blanket the t-14, even schools that are farther west than you would like to travel. To be fair, if you haven't gotten your application package together yet (personal/diversity statements, letters of rec, transcripts, etc.) it may be difficult to get apps out before xmas break. With that in mind, it may behoove you to wait until next cycle so you are not scrambling to turn in an application that may come out less than perfect. However, if you can submit this soon during this cycle (like before xmas soon) then by all means cast a wide net.

I don't know what the GPA floor is at many of these schools- but, if what I've been seeing this cycle is any indication- you should definitely blanket the T14, and I think you could definitely get some great schools on the east coast (Penn, UVA, GULC, Cornell- to guess tentatively). Early is always best, so if you can continue working/doing something meaningful over the course of this year, I'd say wait next cycle and get them in August/September.

Amazing, congrats! Did you ED?
No, regular decision. Didn't want to take myself out of the running for scholarships. I'm below their usual cutoff (so have hope people!), but I had strong softs, first gen and 3 years of WE. Also dedicated a whole paragraph of my PS to "Why NYU" and did an additional statement on overcoming adversity.

Luckily for you the west favors GPA. You can follow my LSN cycle which will probably be pretty similar to yours. I would wait until next cycle to apply unless you can get everything in now! But hell why not apply to some schools that dont hand out big schollies just for a shot and then apply next year also. I dont think you have to apply outside the t14. http://lawschoolnumbers.com/TheSharklord

Maybe some mid-west corn schools for safties

I'm proud to announce that I'll have my first decision within a few days. It's most likely going to be a rejection, however, since I sent out my first application in October, I'm stoked to receive any news.

It's changed so much, I can't remember. I submitted November 18. I think I went under review in late November
