Reasoning? Leaving law school with 42k in debt as opposed to 132k is a big deal. I may have to take small COL but I'd be done in 3 years and can fully focus on school will have to leave a job making over 100k but it's sales so anything can happen

Better job prospects. But it depends on your career goals?

I have to be contrary here.. with a 90k difference I would take Cardozo without a second thought (especially considering the second option is sticker). Thats assuming that your COL loan will be minimal since it sounds like you were able to save from working.

I am somewhat unsure of specifics. I honestly want to start 1L and take it from there. Of course I'd like to have big law as an option, thats why I chose fordham. In the end the less debt leaves more career options.

After looking at placement of Cardozo grads on NLJ 250 the proverbial wind starting to sway me

Congrats to all of you on a successful 2010-2011 cycle. Remember, you'll have to work twice as hard to receive 1/2 the credit, so keep that in mind too. Unfortunately, I scored 70th Percentile on the February 2011 exam, so I passed on this application cycle, though I was grateful to receive plenty of invites to apply with fee waivers from some good law schools. I've been studying intensely for the last 6 weeks in preparation for the June 2011 exam. Hopefully I can break into the 99th Percentile this time around; I had no clue about TLS until after taking the February exam. Anyway, I'm wondering if it is absolute truth or simply unsubstantiated speculation that law schools add an additional 5-10 point boost to the LSAT score of URM applicants, it seems to be a consistent claim on TLS.... :?:

It is true that URMs get a boost and the most common way of looking at it is sort of like a 5-10 LSAT boost (though it is never that specific). Look at URM applicants on http://www.lawschoolnumbers.com and you will see that they consistently far outperform their numbers.

Applied to 16 T20 schools and didn't get one rejection. Thanks TLS!

Cycle is officially done!

after a painstaking process, I eliminated the rest and one remained:

NYU '14

You guys have been great over the cycle, TLS is absolutely one of the best resources around, definitely helped to polish my application packages!

Congrats to everyone for a great cycle! All of you are going to great schools! This thread will be a great reference when I am applying in the fall.

I know many of you have chronicled your journey in this thread but can you please update your cycle here, http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 4&t=154356 also?? It would be a great help to those like myself if we didn't have to search thru so many pages.

Thanks again guys!

Alright, cycle is over it turned out kind of weird... but I got into Harvard off the waitlist today  :D . Surprisingly the only other T14 schools I got into were Cornell and Michigan, waitlisted everywhere else, although I didn't apply to S or Y... I guess URM cycles really are very unpredictable :)

I'd also like to give you a HUGE shout of CONGRATULATIONS!! Being on the Wait List is not the end of the world and I would be over the moon if I received news as good as you did. Congratulations again, I know you will make the most of this opportunity.
