+1 on Harvard and Chicago, but you probably already guessed that. I think you should update your grades if they improved as I did; it's a good low-key way to update. I received some advice on the past page about this.

Joining the "held at Harvard" trend. My guess is that a lot of URMs with decent apps but not auto-admit numbers are getting held because they're going to wait for the Dec. LSATers and later applicants to get a full picture of their URM pool. So it sounds mean but I think a lot of us earlier applicants might be crossing our fingers that there weren't a lot of URM superstars on the Dec. LSAT (no offense to any of you out there). To answer your question Nonchalant, I think everything except the transcript needs to get mailed in. Good luck everyone!!!

How did UVA go for you? My only ding so far, but I didn't write a why UVA...so they probably could tell where my heart really was.

I actually haven't heard from UVA, but my last UR date was 11/13 so I feel like it's going to be a negative response. I also didn't write a why UVA; I probably should have...

As far as Harvard goes, I think I'll send a LOCI and/or LOR in a couple weeks if I haven't heard anything. I've heard HYS acceptances can be slow for URMs and I'm hoping that's all that's going on here.

Did I ever tell you you're my heroine?

P.S. Thank goodness Bleach appears to be back on track. I was sure the writer had started acid tripping during that Aizen arc.

Last cycle there were A LOT of URMs who were held. URMs, as a whole, tended to hear back later.

Also, joinging the in at UChicago crew.. only 2 more schools remain.

Sophie, to be quite frank your cycle is a bit confounding. There is absolutely no reason at all for you to be rejected from H or S, let alone Chicago. I do hope you get one of H and/or S. With your numbers, it would extremely be well deserved. Hang in there, I wish you nothing but the best of luck with the rest of your cycle!!!

Just got an automated email from my school's post office that a package was delivered for me... these next 3 days until I go back to school are going to be AGONIZING. But I'm not expecting any other packages, so it's GOT to be an acceptance. Bama only asks for a permanent address, so all their stuff is going to my parents, and from what I've read on the threads W&L and GMU have only sent letters so far, no one has described anything too big to fit in my PO Box. So basically I've convinced myself that it's another acceptance. Let's hope that's actually the case. Lol.

Wasn't going to apply to Chicago but got a fee waiver.

I noticed that they say not to attach a separate DS. What are yalls thoughts on this?
I honestly would not go there if I got into just about any of its peer schools or better(the Windy City says it all) so it's not that serious but I like to present the best app I can...
