The article, which is quite long and describes the reasons for each choice, can be found here...
http://faculty.law.lsu.edu/ccorcos/lawctr/TOPTENMOVIES.htm

In summary, the author's top 10 list as follows:

10. Adam's Rib (1949)
9. Witness for the Prosecution (1957)
8. Reversal of Fortune (1990)
7. Death and the Maiden (1994)
6. Presumed Innocent (1990)
5. To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)
4. A Man for All Seasons (1966)
3 Judgment at Nuremberg (1961)
2. Inherit the Wind (1960)
1. Anatomy of a Murder (1959)

I have to admit, I've only seen one of those so I don't have a lot of comments on this list. Not to mention that some of these are older than my Grandparents. (ok maybe that's an exaggeration) However, this seems like a fun way to pass the time while waiting for classes to start when I just don't feel like reading any more. Does anyone have any more movies to add? Perhaps we could make a more modern top 10 list?

*Update* New list in no particular order (jokes included)

My Cousin Vinny
The Devil's Advocate
Primal Fear
Twelve Angry Men
Legally Blonde One and Two
Double Jeopardy
A Time To Kill
A Civil Action
Liar Liar
Fracture
Ace Ventura
Murder In the First
A Few Good Men
Gideon's Trumpet
My Cousin Vinny
Jury Duty
The Firm
The Sweet Hereafter
Philadelphia
Intolerable Cruelty
The Paper Chase
Erin Brockovich
Mofia movies in general
JUDGE DREDD (Ha!)
Runaway Jury
The Rainmaker
Soul Man (Perhaps the new #1?)
Body Heat
Batman
the movie where the amish boy witnesses a murder (Witness)
The Punisher
Michael Clayton

I can't believe that's not on the list.

If we're including THAT kind of movie, may I humbly submit "Fracture."

1. Devil's Advocate sucked.

2. Movies that would be on my list: Primal Fear, A Time to Kill (Grisham's Only True Novel), Murder In the First, A Few Good Men, Gideon's Trumpet

and of course, My Cousin Vinnt and 12 Angry Men. Jury Duty gets an honorable mention nod as well.

I really liked Primal Fear.

Harvey Birdman isn't a movie, but it is probably the best law-related entertainment media ever created.

Yeah I just saw that recently, it was sweet, but I knew the twist right away, which is always kinda lame.

I guess the LSU faculty is a bunch of old people who have been too busy to see a movie since 1990.

Thanks for adding 12 Angry Men. One of my favorite movies of all time.
