I heard that with at least UVA, if you get rejected or waitlisted ED, you are released to ED somewhere else. GULC's ED deadline isn't until March 1, right? If this is right , where all is this possible in the t-14?

of course if you get released you can apply to other schools ED - but GULC's ED deadline has changed this year - they in essence have 2 different ED waves.

See: Please note: This year we have changed the timeline for our Early Decision process. For those who choose to apply under the previously published timeline, if your application is complete with all required documentation (including application form and fee and personal statement, letter(s) of recommendation, resume, etc.) by December 1, your decision letter will be mailed by December 15. To receive a decision by December 15, you must have taken the LSAT by October 2009.

For all others who wish to apply Early Decision, your application must be complete with all required documentation (including application form and fee and personal statement, letter(s) of recommendation, resume, etc.) by March 1. Your decision letter will be mailed within 3 weeks of when your application becomes complete.

Usually, ED deadlines are usually right about now. Duke ED is Nov. 2, Cornell EA is Nov. 2, etc. See this link for more:

Also, there's a great TLS thread on this topic:

Apply UVA first since it's faster turnaround time. Call the admissions office to make sure this is OK. Sometimes they have clauses. I think it's both ok at GULC and UVA but I'm not 100%
