After much debate around the series of tubes we call the Internets, it has been confirmed that I got the US News and World Report rankings correct for 2010. My source reigns supreme. First on the Internet!
It led to massive hits on this site and mild hysteria throughout some legal websites. Forums debated its truthiness, along with my commenters, sparking an online forum dedicated to law schools to actually pay someone to go to Penn State in NYC at midnight and pick up the first copy. A member of that website forwarded me their thread, which is hysterical, because they were apparently in a race with another online forum to get the first copy. See the proof/absurdity here."

no no no switch mandel and opera. mandel was about 4 bucks away from that spot, but he didn't produce like opera. props to mandel, though.geoffree wrote:It's like this:coolkatz321 wrote:And MANDELBAUM. Without him, none of this would have been possible.sporkdevil wrote:Much much thanks to Opera, geoanthem, and of course Ken. It's time to pour some liquor (I think good or bad, we should all agree).
But I love this thread so much, I'm going to start a fire, turn on some Luther Vandross, and make sweet sweet love to this thread.
I still can't believe this has actually happened

Scans please. The partial of the page on the OP looks pretty different from the "scoop" that badger posted. We need photographic evidence of whether what badger got was the real deal or just an absurdly lucky fake.

Hey, nice to see Pitt crept up... a little. Where's that bounceback I've seen predicted? Richmond took a bit of a tumble.
Nothing like a rankings leak to bring out my inner rankings whore... le sigh.

Re: Opera goes to Penn Station in search of Rankings!
Not for nothing, but there are a couple discrepancies between the list Mandelbaum posted and the one OS and Geo posted.
Mandel has Penn and Michigan tied at 8th and UT/UCLA tied at 15th.
Geo posted Penn at 8th, Umich at 9th and UCLA 15th and UT 16th.
I believe Mandelbaum saw the list and tried to trick us for some reason.... Just saying.

When PSU moved up 13 spots and other huge 15 spot moves from other schools, 2 points is more of a fluke than a concentrated effort to move up.redsox8105 wrote:Hey, nice to see Pitt crept up... a little. Where's that bounceback I've seen predicted? Richmond took a bit of a tumble.
