Re: Best Campus / Law Building?
Cornell's law school is sweet. Just don't post any of that hideous Loyola-esque music studies building down the block from it. Whoever allowed that thing on Cornell's campus should be shot. I had no idea Loyola law was the seventh circle of hell. For some reason I thought it was up on a hill somewhere and really pretty. Those might actually be the worst buildings I have ever seen at any school.

How can you not condemn people to death in that room? If you guys don't have witch trials in there, it's such a tragic waste. Do they make you all come to class in creepy monk robes with big hoods?chilerelleno wrote:

I did my undergrad at Loyola Los Angeles (full name of the university is Loyola Marymount University). It is on a bluff on the west end overlooking Marina Del Rey and Venice Beach. From my on campus apartment I had a view of the ocean all the way to the Hollywood sign and downtown. The campus itself is really beautiful even though it lacks a single architectural style. For some reason they gave that up the one they used for the chapel and first two main buildings they built. It's now a grab bag of whatever the hell was in when each building was built. That said it's still way more aesthetically pleasing than Loyola Law which is downtown.galahad85 wrote:Same here. Looking down alumni mall towards Sacred Heart Chapel.
Looking up at LMU on the bluff. (l-r Sacred Heart Chapel, Xavier Hall, Jesuit Residence and, and on campus housing.)

Re: Best Campus / Law Building?
Looking through this thread, did anyone else get kind of pissed off that all these TTT law schools have fucking awesome campuses at the expense of law students who they scammed into getting a degree that is worthless?
Or, maybe I'm just being too cynical...

I kid you not, I've heard that Cooley's library is pretty nice.CE2JD wrote:Looking through this thread, did anyone else get kind of pissed off that all these TTT law schools have fucking awesome campuses at the expense of law students who they scammed into getting a degree that is worthless?

Thanks. Say, when you go to UIUC, could you take some panoramic pictures and get a few shots of the library (where I'd be spending most of my time if admitted)? I didn't get a very good idea of the facilities with those pictures. They were mainly pictures of students and professors.coolkatz321 wrote:Thanks to Dean Pless, we have a few pics of the inside of the UIUC building.

Cooley's building in Lansing is pretty cool, 1/2 block away from the capitol building. Still, its in Lansing, MI, and still a sh*thole.coolkatz321 wrote:I kid you not, I've heard that Cooley's library is pretty nice.CE2JD wrote:Looking through this thread, did anyone else get kind of pissed off that all these TTT law schools have fucking awesome campuses at the expense of law students who they scammed into getting a degree that is worthless?

Anything outside the top 14 schools.trinacria1383 wrote:So apparently I haven't caught up on all the lingo. What is a TTT law school?
Or, if you don't go to a top 14 school, all the schools ranked below yours in the USNWR rankings.

Now I see. It's the old, "sweet-classical-styled-undergrad/law-school-is-a-middle-school-shithole-so-ugly-we-hid-it-in-another-zip-code-like-your-crazy-uncle bait and switch." Quite sad that so many colleges decided to tack on token law schools during the worst period in all of architectural history.trinacria1383 wrote:I did my undergrad at Loyola Los Angeles (full name of the university is Loyola Marymount University).
