I'm having the toughest time deciding whether to further commit to GW with another deposit tonight ($1000 ugh) or ride out the UCI waitlist or reapply. I have a 3.33 GPA and a 160/166 LSAT. I applied rather late this past cycle (in January). Would reapplying early next cycle help at all? Do i need to retake the LSAT? I blind reviewed in the 170's but could never get the timing down for a 170+ practice test.
Ultimate goal would be big law or mid law in California. I have a fairly strong network out here with ties to several firms in OC/LA.

I do not think reapplying earlier would help much because January is not all that late to apply. I would pay the deposit at GW because they have made a generous offer. UCI may come through, but you wouldn't want to be left without any option in exchange for saving $1k. Think of the deposit as insurance. I also strongly recommend that you visit UCI, this can make a difference to the admissions team and help you write a LOCI
