Re: Georgetown Sticker VS GWU $
ED for sticker, anywhere, is almost always a bad idea. Especially if there's another outcome you're interested in. I doubt it would help you get into GULC anyway.

What are your career goals?
It's impossible to answer this question in a vacuum. But ED without a scholarship is always dumb, so don't do that.

This. Retake and reapply. Law School Transparency (LST) lists the non-discounted cost of GULC as being almost $340,000.00 [https://www.lstreports.com/schools/gulc/]. Unless your family is rich and willing to pay over 70% of the COA, your best bet is to retake and try to get some money. Even considering NY going to 190K, that amount of debt will be pretty impossible to shake within this lifetime while still enjoying your earnings.icechicken wrote:ED for sticker, anywhere, is almost always a bad idea. GW's employment outcomes alone require at least an 80% tuition scholarship to make the risk even somewhat tolerable, but if you can get GULC, even with no money, you're better off retaking and getting money at GULC.

Just a thought - I *think* I remember from when I was visiting schools that GW doesn't give merit aid for P/T.
Also, from ppl I know in the night program, I'm pretty sure it's easier to get into than the F/T (at both GULC and GW).

If you look at the 509, aid is significantly rarer and significantly lower for PT students.Experiment626 wrote:https://www.law.gwu.edu/merit-scholarshipsBush v. Gorgeous wrote:Just a thought - I *think* I remember from when I was visiting schools that GW doesn't give merit aid for P/T.

This sounds like PT can get it. But thanks for being constructive and making me look it up just in case something was wrong in my assumptions to make this decision.
The other thing to think about with PT is the actual value of staying in your job. High-stress, complex jobs are generally considered a bad match for PT students, and depending on the salary, you might end up in just as much debt. There's a difference if you have a guaranteed legal job upon graduation, but that doesn't sound like your situation.

Re: Georgetown Sticker VS GWU $
if you want to pay stiker for gulc and get admited, you should have 165+ lsat score, and with 165+ and if you apply as early as possible you have a great chance to get the scholar with 105000 dollar. if you shoot for big law, gulc do give you a slighter high chance than gwu, but more than 35% students in gwu also go into big law, and it is more possible that you can not go into a big law whatever gulc or gwu you take.
Considering gwu also enjoy a national reputation and you can take the degree everywhere, I believe Gwu with a decent scholarship is a more wise choice from every prospect.

The OP is clearly done with this thread, but it's worth noting (for future readers) that literally every word of that post was nonsense.andychen wrote:if you want to pay stiker for gulc and get admited, you should have 165+ lsat score, and with 165+ and if you apply as early as possible you have a great chance to get the scholar with 105000 dollar. if you shoot for big law, gulc do give you a slighter high chance than gwu, but more than 35% students in gwu also go into big law, and it is more possible that you can not go into a big law whatever gulc or gwu you take.
