How binding is the deposit?

Post by gobeers » Thu Apr 14, 2016 5:49 pm

If I put down a deposit for School X, but ultimately decide not to attend, will I be blacklisted from that school/other schools if I reapply the following year? (reasoning being I'm not sure if I want to accept an offer right now or take a work opportunity, but know that if theres a chance I want the school, I need to put down the $ by the deadline)

Thanks for the knowledge/advice.

Will largely depend on the language/terms of the seat deposit.

You'll probably be ok, especially if you back out before May 1. You just lose the value of your deposit.
