Campbell Law still sliding

Post by jdcumlaude » Wed Nov 04, 2015 7:40 am

Passing rate of first-time test takers on the 2015 July bar exam
Duke: 83.3% (20 of 24)
UNC: 82.8% (125 of 151)
Wake Forest: 82.5% (52 of 63)
Campbell: 78.1% (96 of 123)
Elon: 69.4% (43 of 62)
NCCU: 65.6% (78 of 119)
Charlotte Law School: 47.1% (80 of 170)

Campbell's one claim to fame was a near perfect bar passage rate...what do they have now?

Yes, but the near-perfect bar pass rate occurred when they only had one student enrolled.

there are lots of reasons to criticize campbell but i don't know if comparing a 78% bar pass rate to duke's 82% is a very compelling zinger.

In all fairness to Duke, that is the NC bar. Their NY and Tx over the past few years have been 90%+

There is no real zinger intended, but it should be noted that Campbell used to put out 90%+ numbers on a consistent basis. Campbell is trying to keep enrollment up and they can't even say they have the highest passage rate anymore. They are starting to morph from a diploma mill to a failure factory.

Yeah this seems like a sort of weird attack on Campbell. Not like Duke, UNC, and Wake fared that much better. And there are still three other law schools in the state that deserve a hell of a lot more criticism than Campbell.

Just check his post history...He's not wrong, but he is laying it on pretty thick.
