I've wanted to work in Maine and a while back dismissed the option, because the Maine legal market sucks, but I recently started considering it again. A quick look at employment figures in the state indicate the lat things generally aren't good there - take a gander st UMAINE (not even top 100) on lst - median salary is 46k, something like 20% of grads are not getting jobs.
So I thought to open myself up to living elsewhere, and certainly enough to move around in the region (New Hampshire, or Boston through BC, BU, or NU).
So two scenarios: first, suppose that I were obstinate and insisted on working in Maine. All things considered, what is best - going to UMaine, or going to a school like BC, BU, or NU?

Regional connection is important, but if you are from the region then you don't really have to attend the local school.
