URM with those numbers? Reapply and enjoy Cornell on a Full ride...landshoes wrote:I applied to every T-14 except NYU, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Berkeley.
I got terrible money and/or waitlisted from all of them. I am not even considering taking out 200k in loans so those are completely out for me. I have friends in biglaw and a lot of it seems decent and interesting, but it's not something I'd pay 200k just to get the chance to do.
I'm a URM so I feel like I underperformed my numbers, possibly because I applied after the deadlines for almost all of these schools.

I'd imagine OP could do significantly better than that.BrazilBandit wrote:URM with those numbers? Reapply and enjoy Cornell on a Full ride...landshoes wrote:I applied to every T-14 except NYU, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Berkeley.

How hard have you tried to negotiate scholarships? Schools should want you to attend with your numbers and URM-status; there might still be hope this cycle.

What kind of URM and what are the other offers?

If you don't mind, what general range of offers are you getting?boomlawyered wrote:I have similar numbers (even a lower GPA) and have gotten substantial offers from lower T-14, as well as the WUSTL full ride-- and I'm not a URM. Definitely negotiate and/or reapply next cycle if you can sit this one out.

I also have similar numbers and got the full ride at WUSTL, plus offers at other T14 with decent $ (60K Cornell, Duke 75K, Michigan 75K, to name the few I was considering).
I'm not URM. If you are a URM you can do so much better. Wait it out 100%
