I don't care what some random internet sites (lol huffingtonpost) have to say. Irregardless is not a word. Period. No educated person would use the word. Only trailer park trash uses it.thatsnotmyname wrote:Irregardless is a word.SFrost wrote:brianiac wrote:Irregardless of a possible transfer, G/G are largely peers and I would feel honored to graduate from either institution.
I don't know what's worse: thinking irregardless is a word, or thinking a 160 is a good lsat.
(or using G/G)

Only want to hear more about these if HLS is #1.brianiac wrote:You keep thinking prestige is important because it creates jobs. But that's only true in some areas. You assume everyone wants to work in Biglaw. But that's not the case. Also, Texas is not a T14 and will never be. They aren't even a T20 in the long-term rankings. If any school is going to crack T14, it will be either Vandy, GW, or WashU.

Um... Of that list, isn't Texas the only school that's already, y'know, "cracked" the T14 with the GULC tie a few years back?MagicMike80 wrote:Only want to hear more about these if HLS is #1.brianiac wrote:You keep thinking prestige is important because it creates jobs. Apologies for my burnt-orange-tinted glasses. But at least, we can safely say that Brianiac is one mistake not brought to you by the Lone Star State. Fly-over state with no strong legal markets?

Agreed. "Oh, look, someone made a typo on a cover letter. I'll send it to ATL so the whole legal world can share in the hilarity! Hahahahahahaha.....15th Circuit.....hahhahahahahahaha....what a loser.....hahahahahahahahahhaha."TheUnicornHunter wrote:Not as much as the person who shared it with Above the Law. Re: TLS, it's time to have a talk.
Someone at Cornell forwarded ATL an email from our CSO asking us to be careful with cover letters and including examples of stuff my class had done.
The email was pretty funny, but ATL sat on it for like 2 months, so I'm pretty sure they were just having a slow day.
Our moot court problem is an opinion for the "13th Circuit" and I trip up saying it every time.

Yeah, I don't know that this was worth sharing with ATL, or ATL putting it on the site. Still, though, that cover letter was abysmal.TheUnicornHunter wrote:Not as much as the person who shared it with Above the Law. It read like the person who wrote it was a non-native english speaker. Which is admittedly not a great look for anyone applying to a legal job in the US, regardless of what language they grew up speaking. But still, fuck whoever sent that thing.elterrible78 wrote:Yeah, I don't know that this was worth sharing with ATL, or ATL putting it on the site.
