It's rare that TLS makes me cry with laughter these days. Rereading this thread, and bjsesq in particular, made my day.

Welp, back to encouraging people to attend GULC at full sticker.

Thanks.

Woo! GULC isn't in the top 10 (not the first time anyone's said that, hah)! We're number 12, but whatevs.

Future readers: go to GULC at sticker always. Don't even apply up the food chain to the rest of the t14.

Can we all just acknowledge that bjsesq is hands down the best poster on TLS? I can't think of anyone close.

Twas once a man named brianiac,
Whose GDub affinity was sacrosanct.
He herped and he derped,
Spraying inflated claims of those employed and clerked.
To the ire of BigZuck and cron,
Baffled by the patter of a man so misdirected, so wrong.
Give him five minutes, and you too will receive testimonial,
Of the political dreams of a misguided Colonial.

You want to go to law school in D.C. so you can then run for office somewhere else?

If you want to be a member of congress, why go to law school in an area that has no members of congress.

I don't know why people haven't been given the best plan proposed by OP the credit its due. That is, going to American and then transferring to Gtown in order to build the prestigious base needed for a career in politics. OP is in an elite group of test takers, the top 20% of LSAT takers to be exact. OP, your 160 on the LSAT will easily allow you to walk into American and finish in the top 10% of the class after your 1L year. Everyone knows there is a damn near perfect correlation between an LSAT performance and performance on the far less arbitrary and more predictable law school exam. OP, you probably won't have to go to class in order to accomplish this, and the extra time saved by being by virtue of your objectively superior intellect can be used to network on the hill. Pay no heed to the student sitting next to you in contracts with the unsightly and somewhat embarrassing 157 LSAT score. Remember, students like this are basically still learning to read and won't be able to hold a candle to your legal analysis, the kind of legal analysis that one starts to see in the magnificent top 20%. Once you secure your inevitable admission into Georgetown law, you will, by your logic, logic that data corroborates time and again, be left at the bottom of the pack, surrounded only by affirmative action students and those that secured entrance to Gtown through connections. This will not matter, however, because you will have the prestige of a Gtown degree within your sights, a degree which will allow you to secure a most prosperous career in politics.

This is all true. I got a 157 and I was the poor schmuck left sitting after my neighbor in crim transferred. :(

Strongly agree. It's a very tough choice, but you can't go wrong either way.

Unfortunately, there are way too many Brianiacs who think they are brainiacs.
