My first practice LSAT I took I got a 153 on and I took countless number of LSAT Practice tests and studied for hours on hours to increase it to a 163. My PR was a 164 going into the LSAT so I was happy with this score.
While I do think you settling for a 163 is you being defeatist, seriously, don't worry about it. If these schools can get you what you want, go for it.

Can these schools get you what you want? Not, like, it's technocally possible, but is it probable?

Eta: "technically"

You're not taking on a ton of debt, and I suspect that you know that sports/entertainment law are two of those fields that dumb kids think there are a lot of jobs in because they once saw Jerry Maguire or are big Entourage fans.

The problem is that you haven't articulated what your worst-case scenario would be. Would you be happy prosecuting misdemeanors for 47K a year? What about doing family or personal injury law? The odds of getting a "top job" out of IL aren't great. Do you actually want to be a real lawyer even if it means making 40-60k?

If you wanted to work in Michigan, Michigan and Wayne State would be better options.

Don't go to Michigan State. They have steep competition, I know I lived there for awhile and went to MichiganState undergrad and transfered out. Employment numbers are terrible and it's 40k a year for law school.

Penn State is about the same.

Illinois willl give you the best opportunities and is most portable and respected.

Where are you from? Its easier to get a job if you go to school in the same state you grew up in/went to for undergrad. At any of these schools your most likely outcome is a firm of 10 attorneys or less (your second most likely outcome for many of these schools is a non legal job). Those kinds of places normally prefer people with deep roots.

OP has noted that retaking is a good suggestion, but continuing to beat a dead horse doesn't seem as necessary as it is in other threads where the poster has a 157 and is intent on going to law school no matter what and paying sticker. This OP isn't going to go six figures into debt attending a TTT.
I agree with this. Iowa, Indiana, or Illinois are all fine with a full ride. I would say Illinois of those three.
