I talked with a student at UMN. It all made more sense coming from him.

I need to see my other applications through.

This is good advice. Unlike the unmitigated retard that is DaRascal, I think you're both real and salvageable. That said, the wild swings between fatalism and crazy optimistic bombast are disconcerting. You don't need to talk like you're addressing a pep rally all the time. Just chill, dude. Make sober, rational adult decisions.

Okay, I get it. This has been on my mind all day long though. Literally all I could think about. How should I go about explaining this to the admissions counselor? Email? Phone call?

Email leaves a trace, whereas during phone call, they'd try to convince you otherwise. I'd make up my mind then call.

Okay. I meant no disrespect. You just come off as very spontaneous and indecisive. But I think we all agree its a good decision to let your retake and the rest of the cycle play out.

TBF, the LSAT's coming up and he's probably got some pre-test jitters. I think this forum has shown that people act pretty crazy when taking the LSAT and waiting for scores is involved.

Who knows. I remember him on here when he first made an account guaranteeing he would get into Harvard, he even made a thread about his lsat journey. Pretty sure he exhausted through all of his PTs right away and was counting the score of retakes when he made some thread about perseverance a few months ago. Bothers me that he was giving terrible advice to people that were beginning to study the lsat. He scored in the low 150s both times he took the test and creates a thread offering advice because he scored high on what was probably a test he took five times. If you're consistently scoring in the 170s and think you could get a 180, which he says, then you aren't talking about going to Minnesota or Miami law school.

I'm surprised he didn't stick around for waiters. You would think someone who came out of the test confident would be really into curve discussion and care about the cycle.
Maybe he realized he bombed and quit TLS?
Too bad it's all speculation at this point.

I hope he at least checks back in to tell us if his love for Miami trumped his Minnesota fan-girling.

"for me... it doesn't matter what I score in December... I did what I set out to do." -Louie on scoring a 170 on a PT he'd probably seen many times before.

Louie

Post by UnderTheLaw » Fri Jan 09, 2015 2:38 am

All that is left of Louie

http://lawschoolnumbers.com/louierodriguez looks like a 160 in December

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBDk5hFsjyw fast forward to 3:30 if you chose not to watch the whole thing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1myZYAJ-fx8

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn1dKr5lFxw

Last I heard he got an email from Vandy, applied, and wrote some essays in an effort for a full ride. Also, his interview at Northwestern was rumored to have gone well. Said he's been communicating with Michigan more than anybody though. He likes the idea of NYU and an email they sent in response to one of his inquiries showed signs of hope. I think we should all expect the unexpected with this guy.

I heard he might be taking a job in Alaska before he starts up law school. Something about a National Park... Said it was his last big adventure of his youth. He also said that if you ever need a lawyer to give him a call or that if you're suffering to find work ten years down the road he'll probably help you if he is in a situation to do so.

Also, he told me to tell you all that he misses you all. He said that he learned a lot from everybody. Said there was the occasional person who just... you know... was of typical internet rudeness... but for the most part really enjoyed learning from everyone... I'll be sure to let you know where he ends up going to school.

As for what he's doing now... he mostly spends his days out on his road bike, experiments with a vegetarian diet, and occasionally enjoys a cold cider. He's looking forward to Suits returning on January 28 and has just recently taken an interest in Orange is the New Black. He hopes to one day share classes with some of you!

In conclusion, he hopes that you will find your way to a movie theatre to watch the movie Unbroken. To an extent he sees his LSAT career and many other aspects of his personal life to be somewhat similar to that of Louie Zamperini.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDIwQbhHRRE

oh, and he really hopes to get into Harvard! He did apply. Said he'll frame his rejection letter if he gets one as a constant reminder to work harder.

Sincerely,
A guy who knew louie

Yeah he weirdly phantom posted that here first.
It's obviously worthy of it's own thread though.
