OP, for the love of god, retake!
"retaking it would be hard at this point" is a terrible reason. If you only got a 5 point boost from your diagnostic you can make plenty more gains in scoring!
Adcomms care a lot less about your Stanford pedigree than the low (for the top schools) GPA they have to report to LSAC. You can get that LSAT up! Do it!

Not everyone who gets into Stanford undergrad could score a 173+. Still, with the moderate but not exhaustive studying that OP has done you can't rule out a 170+ for him. OP should study again and retake. Good luck.dissonance1848 wrote:You are retaking. This is not an option. You got into Stanford, got a 3.7, and do not have a 173+? Retake, a quintillion times over is the only acceptable option.

For many/most people that are new to TLS and law school admissions, this is doing research.filibuster wrote:you are so dumb. shutup and do research.

4 months 2-3 hours a day is a moderate amount of study time for a standardized test?

By TLS standards this is probably "moderate" (it's about what I did). What are you questioning?loomstate wrote:4 months 2-3 hours a day is a moderate amount of study time for a standardized test?

So maybe this attitude will come back to bite me in the ass, but I'm with you. I work full-time and did so when I was studying for/taking the LSAT, I did not have time to study that much and don't particularly think that's healthy. I took a 100-hour class which was two nights a week, and then tried to do some practice logic games at least a couple more days of the week (probably every day in the last couple weeks before the test).loomstate wrote:4 months 2-3 hours a day is a moderate amount of study time for a standardized test?
Love having the online community of fellow LS-crazies to talk to, but sometimes I think we're all hyping ourselves up and increasing the crazy spiral, if that makes sense.

That's a hefty amount of studying. I spent 3 months doing 2 PTs a week, working back through the questions I got wrong. That's like 10 hrs/wk max. That's less than many people on here, and I'm still skeptical of the value of that last month. TLS retake mantra is legit. TLS LSAT studying is way overkill.
