NYU ($) vs. Duke ($$$)
Which would you choose as a K-JD interested in NYC biglaw? I asked this question before but my situation has changed a little bit since then. NYU at 170k or Duke at 66k? I really liked the idea of living in New York for law school, and I really like NYU's strong employment numbers, but I am not sure that this price difference is worth it, considering I also like Duke, and that would be an amazing deal. Thanks for the help!

I accidentally voted for NYU because I misread as being "160k." Duke is the clear answer here.

Duke, and it's not even really a question.

Does this include COA as well or only tuition?

It was me. I misread the COA. Duke.jbagelboy wrote:not sure who voted NYU. Great price for Duke. Go for it.

Duke is obvious answer. NYU's employment numbers are better, but if you know you want NYC BigLaw then there is no reason to pay 100k+ for an opportunity that Duke could garner for you just as well. At 66k, you get a lot of flexibility to pursue whatever your interests turn out to be coming out of a mid T14. Easy choice here.

Isn't it funny how when I look at it objectively in someone else's situation it is crystal clear? lol
