Bumping because this is all I have been thinking about for days and I can't get the scale to weigh on one or the other.
The estimates are conservative since i am married and my spouse will be helping with rent/food/other.
Northwestern COA: 150K
CU: COA: $70K
I'm from Colorado and would like to return there once school is finished. I wouldn't mind doing CO "big law", am interested in environmental law but realistic about its prospects. also interested in immigration. The grisly 50% employment rate at CU gives me pause and I question the sanity of paying for odds like that, even though Colorado is the goal.
Is northwestern actually portable in this case with my ties, or am i better off staying in CO, despite the lower ranking? I

TX is out. Would you rather have biglaw or work in CO? If you take NU, assume working in Chi/NY.
