Texas - April 15th ($200)
Minnesota - April 19th ($750)
WUSTL - April 15th ($300)
Notre Dame - April 15th ($600), June 16th ($400)
Iowa - April 1st ($250)
Georgia - May 1st ($150)
SMU - April 1st ($250)

These are just the first deposits (except for Notre Dame, which lists both deposits on the status checker), I'm not sure if there are second deposits for these schools so if anyone else has info, feel free to add to my short list.

Unless they have changed from previous years, Berk doesn't require a seat deposit. HTH

Here is from their website.
Berkeley wrote:Berkeley Law School does not require an acceptance deposit. Instead, we rely on the good faith of those who are admitted to provide candid and honest responses about accepting the offer of admission. The absence of a deposit may necessitate reconfirmation of an accepted applicant's declaration to enroll.

Bump. I added a poll. If anyone knows school specific policies regarding multiple deposits, that would be a welcome addition.

pretty sure Northwestern for regular admission is April 30, not March 17.

edit: checked, it is April 30.

So I haven't had much luck in pulling up information on multiple deposits. Is this listed explicitly somewhere on school websites? Also, is there a general policy that applies to most schools? I feel like I've seen mixed statements regarding this subject on TLS.

I have a dumb question. If I want to deposit somewhere, but I haven't received an initial decision somewhere else (so not on the waitlist) do I have to withdraw that app?

No, I don't believe so. I can't say I've researched it at every school, but that seems like it'd be really unfair. I feel like the best bet is to carefully read the school's seat deposit form and policy.

The general consensus that I've gathered is that it's ok to do multiple deposits, but the schools will know. The second deposit seems to be more of a binding commitment. The exception to this is getting off of a wait list. Initial decisions would probably be an exception as well, but they are usually rendered by that point.

This might be a stupid question, but does anyone know for certain if there is a different deadline to accept scholarships at Northwestern? I have it written down as April 11, but after looking through everything I can't find where I got that date. It seemed way too early, and I'll be glad if I'm wrong and it is instead the normal April 30 date on their original acceptance letter.

The scholarship email says April 11. I realized yesterday after clicking on the acceptance form in the email that the deposit is also due on the 11th when you accept the scholarship, not the 30th

For summer starters (JD/MA) at Duke the deposit deadline is 4/11 ($500)

Chicago has a 4/15 deposit deadline for Rubenstein Scholars ($500).

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
