If anything, the kids I know on a full ride are less driven than the kids I know paying sticker. I think both full-riders finished just below median. Scholarships are caused by superior admission factors, once you get here that's all out the window

Factors that contribute to 1L grades? Hard work and a bit of luck. The "logical leaps" you need to make on a t14 exam are not that hard, anyone with a 160+ can do it.

Anecdotally, I have heard kids w/ Rubies do very well

But I can't substantiate that empirically or anything

Overall, they do well - though some did very poorly.
