This isn't about TJSL it was about defining business law. Now can we agree that in house at a business works less hours?
working for a business =/= business law
And the amount of hours required varies incredibly, from the practically part-time "of counsel" to the practically slavish "general counsel"

No, I wasn't. I've read a lot of the threads you've started (morbid curiosity) and I think you should consider getting counseling.

1. Drop out. 2. Seek medical help. 3. Retake. Then come back and try again.
I like you. I hope you stick around. Word of advice:

What would you call doing law for a business then? Also why is it that the NALP categorizes it as Business Law?

depends... what are they doing fro the business? Transactional? Litigation? Tax? or just generally "corporate"?
john1990 wrote:Also why is it that the NALP categorizes it as Business Law?
It doesn't, you moron. It's categorizing the type of employer, not the type of law practiced. Or do you think "academic" is a type of law?

John, are you referring to the "Business Jobs" category (33 grads)? Only four of those jobs are bar passage required.

The breakdown for that category is: one accountant, four in banking, three in entertainment management, one in insurance, two in management consulting, three in tech, two temps, and the rest uncatagorized.

If your goal is to be in one of these fields, you should reconsider your decision to attend law school altogether. You will lose three years, the opportunity to advance yourself in the field you'd like to be in, and the JD will help you marginally, if at all.

If your goal isn't to be in one of these fields, then you should dismiss the "Business Jobs" category, as it's not relevant to you.

I'm just happy you evaded the government kill squads long enough to bring us your commentary. (He deleted the thread, but at one point he posted an insane manifesto about black helicopters coming after him. Again, either massive troll or serious mental health issues.)

I don't know why you felt the need to draw on Asian stereotypes in talking about law school admissions, but you kinda need a break, so we'll see you in a little while.

This racist piece of shit should be perma-banned.

Edit: Normally, I'd be MAF about some jerk insulting my culture but then mama told me not to take offense at everything that clinically insane people spout out.

I am so confused right now... Did John randomly post a picture of an Americanized futomaki, call it Korean, and then say it sucks? Where the hell did that even come from?

He was saying Stillwater sounded like a Korean girl for saying "hehe". I guess somehow that picture was part of his strange association.

John was probably a TJSL adcomm who was pretending to troll only to sneak in sales pitches with all of his "if you go to TJSL instead of a T1 school, you will be in the top of your class" bullshit.

So the thread is called "Business Law" which is interesting because I'm more familiar with the term "corporate law," though that's not to say that I think business law is the same thing or that it's distinct - I really hadn't thought about it. I maybe would have made the mistake of seeing the two as synonymous tbh.

Either way... curious, I read the first 2 pages or so... and I'm impressed.

How the HELL has this conversation lasted 5 pages??? Lmao. This seems like expert trolling to me.

People always troll my thread. They insisted on making it a conversation about what business law is instead of weather T1 schools are important for business law

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
