I applied to 14... the T-14 schools I was interested in and a few others.

T-20 but only cuz I got a fee waiver from each school and want to provide another data point for future Non-AA URM applicants

I applied to 13, and I don't regret that number thus far. Three schools outside the T14, and 10 inside, for a variety of reasons.

Trolling? Because I didn't apply to NYU? I didn't apply to Chicago for that matter, or Michigan (I got fee waivers for both Michigan and NYU but just don't see myself attending). I'm not a fan of cold cities, and would probably only go to Columbia with $$$ or if I was accepted to the JD/MBA. It's about 10 freaking degrees in NYC now...

Yeah I'm aware of that, unfortunately of the T6 schools only Stanford is in a pleasant climate. I'm pretty fickle about the weather, so being further south gets a bump of a couple spots in my personal ranking.
