I would retake and take my supersofts with me to a better school than either of these (looking at you, Berkeley).

If you're dead set on going with that 164, I'd do a little more thorough calculation of costs. NU's cost of living and tuition are higher than Duke's, and if you're getting 5k more per year from Duke I would think the cost difference would be more than what you listed.

You owe it to yourself to spend the money to visit both schools in person (if you haven't already). Decide if you think Durham might not be that bad for three years, or if you'd be miserable. Do a very serious cost-of-living assessment. Not just what the schools say, but while you're visiting each school also take time to visit a few apartments/rental houses and see what you get for the price/location, look at the cost of groceries and a typical dinner out, etc. Obviously Durham will be cheaper, but find out how much cheaper and if that's worth living in the area to you, or if more debt to live in Chi-town for three years is worth it. Make a decision. Don't look back.
