If you really can't consider any other schools/ area then FAMU, I think between the two it's more respected in the market.

So respected that 1/3 of its graduates get any kind of long-term, full-time, bar pass required job

If you really can't consider any other schools, don't go to law school.

Their law school transparency data ought to be sobering to any potential student.

Yeah, read the Wikipedia page for a good laugh. I wouldn't want to go to a school that was perpetually under threat of closing shop (and a history of that actually happening).

The only schools in the state worth attending are UF and FSU. And maybe Miami if you have a guaranteed job.

Googled "famu law school" to find it. Discovered that the title of the main FAMU law page is "ABA Accredited Florida Law School – FAMU College of Law – law ..." That's some pretty sweet SEO right there.

I already have a job waiting for me when I graduate and pass the bar. No need to be nasty.

Is that job guaranteed, or is it some lawyer you know saying "Yeah when you pass the bar give me a call and we'll get you taken care of"? Is it a strong position at a big firm? Is it full-time? Do you have anything in writing? Is it at a firm you worked for before? Is there any danger of the firm closing/moving/having to do layoffs/freeze hiring anytime in the next 13 years (three of law school and a decade for loans)?

The answer to the last one is "yes," by the way, which means you should retake and go somewhere better than Barry/FAMU.

Barry: $216k

FAMU: $136k

Since your dad is willing to hire you whether or not you actually receive a halfway decent legal education, go to FAMU since it is cheaper. I can't imagine anyone thinks one is better than the other. They are both unranked and objectively horrible.

Though, only 61% of FAMU grads pass the bar. And that is just from the 75% reporting.

And just because you have a job doesn't mean you can pay off your loans. Is your dad paying an absurd amount for your legal "education" AND paying you a half decent salary? If not, I just wouldn't go to law school and work for him as a paralegal or something.

Well if its totally guaranteed you should go to a school for free or close to it. How much are you paying at each?

Whatever you do, don't go to FAMU. It's not even worth free with a guaranteed job.

I'd probably still retake unless your dad or scholarship is paying for nearly all of it.

If your dad can get you a job with a TTTT degree, then your dad doesn't work at a good firm. And neither will you if you don't retake.

And you can 100% guarantee that your father's firm won't have any financial trouble in the next 13 years, and that they'll definitely be able to pay you enough to service your loans?
