William mitchel vs st Thomas
I am going to one of these two in the fall. I recieved scholarship offers to both. Would anyone suggest one over the other? How much is the difference worth$$$$?
I am interested in IP law, and I have a background that makes me a good candidate for it.
Other info:
I have three young children I am very involved with.
I am ok financially, and expect the cost of living and other expenses besides tuition to be about the same.

…I would strongly advise against going to either school, but Billy Mitch probably has better connections. UST has always been on the edge and I doubt they'd improve.

Do not under any circumstances go to either of those schools. It will be the worst decision you ever make in your life. That is not an exaggeration.
Retake the LSAT and sit out a year. It could change your life.

WM has better placement, but the MSP market is really saturated. Wouldnt advise attending either local TTT. Youd probably end up without a legal job or making 30-40k

Youre literally 2-3 points from a scholarship at UMNop wrote:I recently took the Lsat (164) Decided this is what I wanted to do and studied for ~3 weeks before the exam.

Lol you'll probably have the highest LSAT in your entering class at either school.

Re: William mitchel vs st Thomas
Exactly. Please study properly, retake, and reapply next year. If you hit 164 on a real LSAT after only three weeks of studying, your scoring potential is very likely much higher (170s). You have access to data (linked above) showing you what a reckless financial risk taking out massive non-dischargeable debt for either of the scams you're considering would be for you and your children. This is all the more unthinkable in light of the fact that proper preparation would very likely land you scholarship money at a far better school in UMN.Nova wrote:Youre literally 2-3 points from a scholarship at UMNop wrote:I recently took the Lsat (164) Decided this is what I wanted to do and studied for ~3 weeks before the exam.

I know I could do better on the LSAT, but waiting a year is not an option. Both scholarships are good and I can retain, but there is a small difference. I can afford to go and live without acruing any debt no problem due to other sources of income. Is going to one verses the other worth some money? How much 5k 10k??

Do not, under any circumstances attend either of these schools. You will receive no job when you graduate from them. They are shit schools. Save yourself the time and money and retake the lsat.

also, someone above posted the link to LST - make sure you study it.
edit: I meant to say LST, not LSN

It's obvious that you're lying about being in good financial shape. Because anyone who understood the value of money would not put any in to these dumpster fires.
It's not your children's fault that you got a wild hair up your butt and randomly decided you wanted to be a lawyer while putting in minimal effort to prepare yourself for the LSAT. Please do not burden them with your poor financial choices.

Nonsense. Is someone going to shoot you if you don't attend this fall? Hurrying up to make an awful decision is completely illogical. The decision to wait one year in order to put yourself in a far better position would pay for itself many times over.mojotheamazing wrote:I know I could do better on the LSAT, but waiting a year is not an option.

If I see this one more time I'm going to go take a nap in wet cement. Does every TTT law student have a terminal disease?mojotheamazing wrote:I know I could do better on the LSAT, but waiting a year is not an option.

Ten years on the Interwebz usually makes me very immune to flames, but I find it hard to tell because there are still, holy crap, tens of thousands of kids attending TTTs/TTTTs and, from what I can gleam from news reports, some of them are even doing it without a gun to their head.willwilliams1334 wrote:lol. So you have the option of spending 3 years earning a degree that won't give you a job but you can't take a year off to retake?mojotheamazing wrote:I know I could do better on the LSAT, but waiting a year is not an option.
