Top Law Schools

This is why this board needs to stop with the scholly fappiing thats been going on. Time is worth waaay more than money, and people like this guy are leaping at these scholly offers, thinking they are making some sort of rational, safe decision, when really by not attending higher ranked law schools they are screwing themselves into literally wasting 3 years of effort, time, opportunity cost, etc. AND they cant go back to law school at a better institution. People need to get over this debt aversion crap and stop missing the forest for the trees. I.E. thinking a scholly is worth the 50+years of high legal employment you are leaving on the table.

FWIW OP, I turned down that kind of money at BLS three years ago for NYU with a small scholarship, and do not regret it at all. It depends on what you want to do, to some extent, but I would think hard before you accept.

Thanks for the speech but I'm not "leaping" at anything, this is just the most rational option right now. I'm still re-taking the LSAT on June 10th and keeping my options open. If I score above 170 I'll withdraw and wait it out until next year.

I messed up on the December LSAT and scored mid 160's. So no, T14 is not an option yet.

I would do the same. However there's a much more significant difference between BLS and NYU than there is between BLS and Cardozo. Plus I want to stay in NY and I didn't get accepted to anywhere better than BLS and Cardozo.

I have seen these posts cropping up all over the place. Someone blames TLS for not doing something when literally if they read a couple posts before they would see that it's exactly what everyone told him to do. READ TLS before telling us what TLS is supposedly doing wrong or you will look like an idiot and it's your own fault.

My point is that if you hit mid-170s on the LSAT, NYU will be a real option next year.

You're right that there is no reason to choose Cardozo over Brooklyn here. The schools are basically identical, IMO. Your choice should be whether to go at all this year or retake and apply to better schools next year. You probably should do the latter, though at least with that full ride your downside risk at BLS is pretty small.
