Hey folks, sorry to bump this thread, but NYU just offered me $25k. My qualitative concerns about NYU still stand, but that money is certainly an attention-grabber.

How much of a difference should this make, if any?

i mean NYU is still not worth $50K over UVA. And you prefer DC biglaw to NYC. I don't think this changes the choice

also fyi your stereotypes of "student culture" only apply to undergrads, if even. people go to law school to train as attorneys and unless you plan on partying with a lot of 19 and 20 yr old college students, to whatever degree these cliches are true they will not apply at all for you
