Even from this comparison, you can see that placement into 501+ firms is down. Yes, federal clerkships are up, which is a good thing, but I wouldn't call the employment stats "significantly better."
You make a valid point, but I think you're overlooking Wakelaw15's point. He's not comparing the total # of employed grads, he's comparing the total # of FTLTJD jobs, so that number, which is 106, will not disappear, because they are FTLT. The total # of employed grads, which is 135, very well may drop as you stated.
