Anybody who has ever expected UCI to beat or even compete with UCLA/USC is delusional. I would be surprised if they didn't enter as a T1, but there's absolutely no way they're arriving as a T20.

They only gave out the fullride the first year. The second year it was half rides.

Those were guaranteed to all matriculants. Now, they are doing just what everyone else does, paying big bucks for those over their medians. Not full tuition, but close ($40-45k/yr to many).

from his interviews chem was aiming for somewhere from 16-18.. he talked about having stats as good as "vanderbilt,texas" in 2009.. they had a 167 last median first year but it is 165 for 2014 class and it might be lower 2015(haven't see their median yet).

How does having Texas and Vanderbilt's 25th percentile LSAT as its median make UCI's stats "as good as" theirs?

They are not-for-profit, as is every law school with a shred of credibility

Okay, I'll bite. Exactly what do these not-for-profit schools do with their money? A typical law school receiving $40,000 a year from 250 students does what with their roughly $10 million income? They serve a lot of free pizza, but c'mon!!

Silly me, but I always thought those tuition increases were because they liked making more money.
