I'm glad they come out with these rankings before we have to deposit. I have literally thrown out a few acceptance letters today based on a school dropping down. I fell like I really dodged some bullets.

I don't know why Indiana is impressing people this year. It has always been a fine school and they are just doing that dance that they, and a few of the other pretty good Big Ten schools, do of jumping into the top 25. Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Indiana all seem to play musical chairs around those spots.

I heard Marc Cuban is personally hiring 50 IU grads to be in-house for the Mavs now.

It looks like Illinois missed its chair and landed on the linoleum. But I would still go there over Indiana.

The employment numbers all look awful this year for the first time -- does that mean they're actually somewhat real for once?

Would you pay 35k a year to go to Indiana if it was your best option? Essentially is it worth the cost?

There is no universe in which this is actually your best option.

A student from the school I graduated from called me to answer any questions I had and the admissions office has just been very helpful re financial aid and arranging my visit.

I heard Temple jumped five spots. I'm probably gonna throw out an app tomorrow, see what happens. I don't really care where I practice, I like to keep my options open. What's more open than space?

If you want to practice in Indiana, I would guess it is a pretty solid choice.

That's pretty awesome. I don't think other schools have law students who are willing to take time out of their busy schedules to talk about themselves. This is definitely a huge plus one in my mind.

Can someone address the effect of these rankings on employers? It has to help somewhat.
