I'm open to Chicago, NY, AZ, and CO.

Also have a solid backup plan in case my cycle does not go well. We'll see. I'll probably be making a thread about whether I should attend or not after my final offers are in.

J/K bro, that's awesome. I obviously was incapable of breaking 170 too. But you'll have some good choices. Definitely let us know how your cycle works out!

Hahahaha I see this and even though I didn't write this thread I feel like that's me. I was 171 - 175 in practice for a month straight and only pulled a (less than 171 lol) (on my second test) ...

Buuuuut I won't lol :) hey ManOfThehour that's really amazing about the 167 be proud dude!

Would be interested to know what you decided, as a candidate weighing many options (3.58 LSAC/3.97 UGPA for four years -- literally; 162) in CA/NV/AZ, etc..

I didn't mean to imply that kind of money is easily had. I graduated top 15% at Hastings and don't have a job making that kind of cash. Right now I am working part time for $25/hour.

If I had to approximate using lawschooltransparency data, I'd guess that a school like Loyola places about 5% in $100k+, large and mid sized firms; 30-40% in small to mid firms making 45-70k full-time; the rest either working part time, or in a non-legal field, or unemployed and still looking.

Agree with you, but salaries are a little higher in California due to cost of living.

That's not good. That means that $70k doesn't go very far. But that's where you're topping out at anyway given how these things work. Also, no one is making $70k to start at a "small firm". They're making $40k to $45k.

I've seen (and interviewed at) firms of less than 50 lawyers which pay over $100k starting. Boutique firms are a thing. That said, most of them generally take laterals, not new grads. There are exceptions, though.

Stop responding to this thread. It's a year old and the OP sat out and retook the LSAT. It was the best decision of his life, and we are all inspired by his success story.

Now shut up and let this die.
