Duke fee waiver

Post by CR2012 » Sat Jan 12, 2013 8:52 am

Got one yesterday in an email. Is this just them alley-ooping me for a rejection slam, or do I have backdoor chance?

It's basically 50/50 between being waitlisted and rejected. I'm assuming you are focusing on UVA, Michigan, Cornell and Georgetown so throwing Duke in the mix isn't a bad idea, especially if it's free. It's certainly not a wasted app.

I have heard that they have a 3.5 gpa floor. Is that impenetrable or have any non-urm been able to get in under 3.5?

Waitlist is likely, but that GPA floor may be more flexible at the end of this down cycle.

Probably not worth the $21 if you have other options you'd prefer at sticker, which you'd probably be looking at a Duke.
