14% get Biglaw from SMU

4.5% get Biglaw from Baylor.

Baylor has the overall higher employment score, but their grads are making less money. SMU is located in a big city and offers a better shot to land a biglaw job in Dallas.

UT still dominates the state, but SMU > Baylor. That being said, going to either school at sticker is not a good idea. SMU with a decent scholarship, and a willingness to work in Dallas, is not a bad choice.

If you're one of the top 5-10 students at Baylor, Biglaw is possible. If you're top 15%-20% at SMU, it's possible. Top 10% is pretty much guaranteed Biglaw.

Going to a school planning on falling into one of those categories is supremely unwise, but at least with SMU, you've got a moderately decent chance. They get a lot of Biglaw firms for OCI.


So you should definitely go to UT.
