Do you know what school funded jobs means bro?

But Vandy's school-funded rate is huge too... Am I missing something?

Your app is probably sort of weak, but it will probably shake out in the end. Possibly with an underwhelming aid situation. I agree that you should ride it out and re-apply if you don't get anything that is consistent with your numbers (that is to say, one of CCN or a lower T14 with $60k or better).

I love how everyone is fixating on last years employment statistics over all others or that because UVA employed more of its grads rather than simply letting them be unemployed or underemployed than some other schools that it makes the school sub-par. I'm not arguing that these positions are always wonderful; although, some of these school funded positions are legitimate public service jobs. Not to mention, someone on here is touting NYU as being far better than UVA when if you look at the employment numbers between the two last year they have similar employment statistics.

That being said, with your numbers and the fact that you are not going to be missing out on the T14 if you don't ED to UVA I would just ride the cycle out and see what happens. If things get bad you can just get a year of work experience and reapply next year.

UVA's 94% or whatever includes the 17% school funded but Vandy's doesn't or at least that's what the LST data seems to imply.

How are you getting that? I'm clicking on the link you posted and on the Vanderbilt page it clearly says 15.7% above school-funded rate.

Oops, didn't see the big red asterisk next to the employment score.

Yeah for whatever reason it seems like UVA's school-funded jobs are lumped into the employment score and Vandy's into its under-employment score. I don't know if there's a good reason for that or not, but taken at face value...

Employment/Biglaw/Fed. Clerkships
UVA: 77.7%/37.1%/10.6%
Vandy: 73.2%/30.3%/10.1%
