This is true. If those states are Connecticut, California, or Massachusetts.

I'm just saying that if you are going to pay sticker outside the top 14, which neither I nor nobody on this site for that matter obviously recommends, it's not a terrible idea to do so if you have in-state tuition at a school that dominates the legal market for that state.

Pre-crash, that was TLS conventional wisdom. It's not as good advice anymore because it's so much harder to find a job from non-T14s (and even then, it was pretty damn hard).

lol @ "dominating the market"

Firms in those places are plenty happy to take people from bigger name schools

And there aren't many markets so big that a few local sons from T14s + top of the class from local schools can't totally gobble up all the decent jobs.

Only if you want to work in Utah, California or Nevada, and likely only if you are LDS. 51% employment with low average salaries (in the 37% who responded so I'd assume it is much lower) isn't worth 150K to me.

Northwestern/Duke, generally speaking. However, would make an exception for UGA/GSU due to awesome in-state tuition.

Before starting law school? Denver, cause of that free at home living.

Now? T20. I'm a 1L and already questioning my decision.
