VA MD NC

Postby hoogs23 » Mon Nov 12, 2012 2:55 pm

Hey guys I am from VA trying to stay around here, but I am having trouble choosing a law school. I do not have much money to pay for schools so a cheaper one would be the best. I have a 166 and a 3.4 GPA, good LOR's, work during school, pretty good other softs, non-URM. Any suggestions on law schools around here that give good employment prospects, and not too expensive?

W&M

It is a good in-state school.

W&M does not have good employment prospects.

You might snag a UVA ED, like very small chance but its worth the app.

I'd look at wake forest (in with some $$ because of your LSAT).

Wrong.

++

I'd be happy to list better ways to spend your $22 or w/e dollars OP

If you are dead set on staying in VA W&M is probably your best bet.

Virginia is unlikely unless you're a URM. Wake Forest, Washington & Lee, and William & Mary are worth applying to in your situation.

Just to clarify why I said W&M:

-Obviously OP won't be getting into a better school for less money (he is in-state I think). Therefore, job prospects of better schools don't really matter as s/he won't be getting in.

I suggested UVA because of OPs in-state status.

I do think that W&L should be on the OPs radar though
