It's not even that hard to obtain a high bar passage %. I don't go to a top school and my regional school has 80%+ bar passage for first time takers.JahRakal wrote:can't tell if you are sarcastic or not, but the bar examination is a terrible measurement to begin with, supervised learning accreditation will benefit will help nontraditinal/URMs by and large, and will allow more people to be served by one of their ownYukos wrote:By the time ITLS is accredited, bar passage rate won't considered for ABA accreditation because it isn't a fair measurement--according to schools with atrocious bar passage rates. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/20/busin ... -fire.html

Linkedin says the founding dean Peter Alexander is now an inspector for the ABA / the American Association of Law Schools. Or rather, he has been since 2003, but he doesn't have anything else more recent than dean of Indiana Tech listed.haus wrote:Executive position with the ABA.deadpanic wrote:Any wagers where adpc will be in 5 years?

Re: Indiana Tech Law School
Missing prov accreditation on the first attempt isn't really a problem. As long as they make a good faith effort to play the ABA's game, once their first class of students nears graduation the school can go to the ABA and say "look at all the poor students we enrolled who took out all this debt and can't take the bar, please please please let them take it," a few articles are run in various media outlets, and the ABA caves. Concordia in Idaho had a similar number of students and just got prov accreditation.

Everyone involved in this nonsense should be rounded up and thrown in jail.timbs4339 wrote:Missing prov accreditation on the first attempt isn't really a problem. Re: Indiana Tech Law School
I've recently learned about the inner workings of non-ABA-accredited law schools and the accreditation process through a friend who's an adjunct at a local non-ABA school. From what he's told me,the ABA has been surprisingly stringent and strict in the past few years when it comes to accrediting new schools. It's refreshing to hear.timbs4339 wrote:Missing prov accreditation on the first attempt isn't really a problem. Indiana Tech is having such a hard time attracting students that they are letting anyone go for free.

Entire article here:As an added enticement, the university is giving 100-percent scholarships to every single student enrolled there next year.

lol that's insane. Even the people trapped there are getting the whole thing free. Makes me think even the few people crazy enough to stick around were planning to leave.Louis1127 wrote:Indiana Tech is having such a hard time attracting students that they are letting anyone go for free.

Here is the jdu thread. Totally a last ditch, hail mary effort to save the school. It's almost like Indiana didn't need another law school or something.

They're letting everyone go for free? The fuck. It's still not even worth it. Can't wait for this school's death.
