My current stats are a 164 LSAT and 3.44 Gpa however im retaking the LSAT in October with hopes of scoring in the higher 160's. Assuming working in Atlanta and trying to place into big law there is my goal I have a question. How much would going to a higher ranked school such as UVA or Vandy give one a better chance at ATL big law vs. the Georgia schools of Emory and UGA. Furthermore is the %higher chance worth spending more money if that ends up being a scenario.
My thought process was that schools such as UVA may place a higher % of their class size in big law however the class size is most likely filled with brighter students. Assuming higher median LSATs and GPAs make them brighter. If schools such as Emory and UGA place lower amounts into big law but their classes are relatively not as intelligent does it matter much. In essence if you are smart enough to make big law at one school should you be able to achieve it somewhere else.
Thanks in advance and any insight is appreciated.
