My cousin just graduated from a small school in the Midwest and is planning on attending a top 3 law school without a discount. I was talking to her though and she said that she might not end up practicing law. She said top 3 schools can open other career paths. What careers is she referring to? And is she making a mistake attending without a discount? Law school is a lot of money!

Academia?

Honestly, if you're talking HYS, there are many opportunities available that don't involve practicing law

Better to get an MBA if entering the non-law business world.

I think this person was asking because (s)he is attending a top school without a discount. Not a flame.
